Dr. Delisle has guided countless couples , mediating a child sharing plan that can be incorporated into a Marital Settlement Agreement or Custody Agreement.  This plan is created as a cooperative process by both parents.  Here are the steps: 

• Separate meetings with each parent and Dr. Delisle -- orientation, history and identification of areas of agreement and differences.
• Parents meet together with Dr. Delisle in mediation meetings (usually 2 or 3) to craft a schedule that is child centered, fair and reaonable.  The goal is to closely weave both parents into the lives of their children.
• Simultaneously, ground rules are created and negotiated that govern parental communication, their conduct with one another and their children, and exchanges.  These ground rules are included in the parenting agreement.
• When appropriate, Dr. Delisle meets with the children to better understand their needs and preferences.
• Final plan is forwarded to attorneys.
• Post-judgement modifications are also mediated.
